Housing costs in the state of Montana have grown at dangerously high rates. It is our goal to support proposals that will make housing an option for all Montana citizens: a housing tax credit for married couples and assistance for Montanan first-time buyers. 

The Montana tax system is in need of some moderate reforms. Governer Greg Gianforte has begun the process of reducing taxes on primary residences for Montanans. The state supreme court has prevented his reforms from taking effect. To see rational tax laws, it will be necessary to reform the state supreme court, and implement tax-reductions for those resident Montanans with a single primary residence in the state. Those retired and on fixed-incomes are the most impacted by poor state tax policy.

Montanan culture is unique in the United States and should be preserved, even in the face of torrents of out-of-state transplants moving in. The vibrant culture of the state of Montana may be maintained with friendly state and local government that's supportive regarding our unique cultural and business enterprises. The people of the state of Montana should not be culturally excluded from their own homes.
